SHA Zhongli, born in 1977, Ph.D., Researcher, Doctoral supervisor.
He received a bachelor's degree from Northwest A&F University in 1999, a master's degree from Northwest A&F University in 2002, and a doctorate degree from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. Since 2015, he has been a researcher of the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; in 2018, he has obtained the qualification of doctoral tutor; from 2018 to 2022, he has been the director of the scientific research department of the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; since August 2022, he has been appointed as the deputy director of the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
His research field is marine biodiversity, mainly engaged in marine crustacean taxonomy and systematic research. He has successively presided over a number of national tasks, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the compilation and research of Zoology of China, the National Key Research and Development Program, the National Basic Research Special Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Key Research Program of Frontier Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the strategic Priority Research Programme of the Chinese Academy of Science. In the past 10 years, Prof. SHA Zhongli has published 8 monographs on diversity, and published more than 60 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author. Serves on the editorial boards of Zoological Systematics and Marine Science.
Prof. SHA Zhongli is the winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Zeng Chengkui Ocean Science and Technology Award "Youth Science and Technology Award", and a core member of the deep-sea innovation team of the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2021, he won the first prize of marine science and technology awarded by the Chinese Society for Oceanography.
