IOCAS and UoPMI Signed Coorperation Memorandum

SUN Song, director of Institute of Oceanology, CAS (IOCAS) and Martin Attrill, director of Marine Institute, University of Plymouth (UoPMI) signed coorperation memorandum on the research vessel 'Falcon Spirit' at British Plymouth Bay on June 21, 2011.

This memorandum is signed based on two-year's exchange of high-level officers on both sides and on recent visit of delegation leb by director SUN Song to UoPMI. According to the memorandum , both parties will carry out exchanges and coorperation from strengthening high-level visits and discussions, scientists and postgraduate student exchanges, joint application of  international coorperation projects, as well as promoting marine science, particularly coastal oceanography comprehensive research and innovation breakthroughs.
The Marine Institute carries on the 150 year tradition of marine and maritime education in the City of Plymouth. It has 14 cross-cutting research centres, plus research and enterprise groups, representing the broadest range of marine expertise in the UK, which promotes and coordinates research, education and enterprise activity across marine and maritime sectors of the University of Plymouth.
