An eleven-member delegation from Brest, French paid a visit to the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOCAS) on March 30, 2012.
The delegation involved experts from Université de Bretagne Occidentale, Institut Supérieur des Sciences Et Techniques, and companies relating to marine monitoring and management.
IOCAS deputy director WANG Fan extended warm welcome to the delegation and introduced IOCAS' research talents, research focus, scientific achievements and capacity building to them. The delegation, in response, introduced the hydrological monitoring facility, seaweed development project, and management technology for costal zones.
The two sides exchanged views on research fields of mutual interest, laying a sound foundation for future cooperation.
