Dr. Chen is mainly working on ocean dynamical processes research and analysis on satellite remote data and model simulating data. She undertook an National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) young investigator grant program, several China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) hydrology research projects and subprojects from First Institute of the state oceanic administration (FIO, SOA) of China. She also joined the Basic Research project of national science and technology, Global change research national important scientific research projects and Innovation project of Chinese academy of sciences etc.
