Yongquan "Isaac" Yuan tries to provide scientific supports on large scale HABs mitigation in different countries.

I always start scientific lectures with introducing myself as "Isaac". My name "袁涌铨" seems very oriental and might be challenge to the audience, but the understanding to our research should not be that way. Actually, the "Modified Clay" (MC) technology we developed has been widely used along China's coast in the area of Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) mitigation over a decade. The major components of MC are from nature soil, making it eco-friendly. By flocculating HAB organisms and inhibiting the growth of HAB cells, the removal effects could be seen in hours. Due to the threaten to aquaculture, human health and ecosystem, finding a green and effective approach mitigating large scale HABs has already been a worldwide challenge. To this aspect, I'm seeking the way to be against such ecological disaster by using MC with broad collaborators like scientists, stakeholders, authorities, etc. from different countries together.
