  World Conference on Marine Biodiversity (WCMB 2014) was held in Qingdao, China 12-16 October, 2014 with the theme of 'Life in the Changing Ocean'.   

  WCMB 2014 takes the form of keynote lectures, oral presentations, posters and exhibitions. It covers topics from recent breakthroughs in Marine Biodiversity. WCMB 2014 continues to provide a platform for marine scientists to debate on the issues affecting the progress of this emerging field and identify the challenges and opportunities facing the development of marine biodiversity. Over 400 marine biologists from 55 countries come together to discuss exciting new ideas and achievements in marine biodiversity.  

  We had six themes and twelve sessions: Marine Biodiversity & Global change; Marine Ecosystem Structure & Function; Marine Ecosystem Safety; Marine Biological Observation; Marine Biological Resources; Deep Sea Biodiversity etc.  

  We had more than 150 oral presentations and 100 e-posters. This event has demonstrated that Marine Biodiversity is very important and interesting and we can all come together to share our resources, ideas, and thoughts. Besides, we have also conducted a couple of workshops during the conference. The next WCMB will be held in Canada, 2018.
