A delegation of 12 participants for 2009 International Blue Economy Forum visited the IOCAS on August 12, Prof. Sun Song, the director of IOCAS, Zhang Guofan, the vice director, and Ms Yin, the chief of the Office of Strategic Planning and International Cooperation met the delegation in IOCAS. Director Sun introduced the IOCAS in its history, staff, achievement, and facility, and showed the guests the Specimen Depository and the large sink of mariculture, as well as the exhibition of achievement. Members of the delegation were very impressed with the great contributions by the IOCAS, and hope to seek more academic exchange and cooperation. 

　　  The members included mainly: Mr. Ian Cresswelll, scientific director of Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), Australia; Mr. Ta-Yan Leong, Senior Advisor of CSIRO; Prof. Can Wenju, the Institute of Marine and Atmospheric of CSIRO; Dr. Lin Jian, Senior Research Fellow from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, United States; Dr. Qiu Taisheng from the Institute of Zoology, the National Taiwan University; Prof. Zhong Guoren of the National Chiayi University; and Dr. You Enmin, the Institute of Zoology, the National Taiwan University.
