The Chinese Academy of Sciences Regional Center of Fundamental Instrument and Institute Center Regional Meeting (Qingdao Area) was held in Institute of Oceanology, CAS, during 6~7th Nov. 2013.  

　　  Zhigang Zhao, Head of Technology Department, Bureau of Facility Support and Budget, CAS, Yongming Luo, Director of Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research CAS, Hong Ni, Deputy Director of Institute of Acoustics CAS, Hui Wang, Deputy Director of IOCAS attended the meeting. Assistant Director of IOCAS Dr. Jinming Song chaired the meeting.  

　　  During this two days’ meeting, Yufeng Xiong, Director of Beijing Regional Center of Nanoscience Instrument, and Guoxing Feng, Director of Beijing Regional Center of Beijing Regional Center of Material Science Instrument, reported on ‘To create a key platform for service frontier scientific research’ and ‘Communication of operation situation of the Beijing Regional Center of Beijing Regional Center of Material Science Instrument’ respectively. Dr. Changhua Liu, Deputy Director of Regional Centre of Fundamental Instrument in Marine Sciences, delivered a thematic report with the title ‘Thought on work of Regional Centre of Fundamental Instrument in Marine Sciences’ focused on the future work. Huilong Xu, Deputy director of Regional Centre of Fundamental Instrument in Marine Sciences, manager of public technology centres, South China Sea Institute of Oceanography CAS, reported about ‘preliminary concept of the sea research equipment shared assessment program’, which has aroused wide concern and discussion.  

　　  After the meeting, experts visited part of the Regional Centre of Fundamental Instrument in Marine Sciences Experimental Platform in Research Center of Analysis and Measurement of IOCAS, and expressed their appreciation to the overall Research Center level.
