The R&D Center for Marine Environmental Engineering serves to meet the demands from the country in marine environmental monitoring and anti-corrosion technology, in accompany with the operations in marine meteorology and hydrology, engineer geology, marine instrument integration, anti-corrosion and protection on marine construction, determination and evaluation of marine pollution, environment assessment technology, R&D of anti-corrosion coating formulation, and so on. Targeting on these issues, effective measure are developed with corresponding products. In the past, the center led many projects tackling key problems. The projects undertaken included “863 Project” and many national-level major or key programs, as well as those from large enterprises and companies, with great economic and social benefits.
